I will ALWAYS remember Kristy's beautiful smile, heart & joyful personality❤️ She was & forever will be a bright& shining star. I loved her very much & always enjoyed her presence in our youth group @ Desert Springs Bible church. My heart is absolutely broken for Sharon, Laura & all of Kristy's family whom she loved so much. Shine on in the presence of our precious Savior precious Kristy...until we meet again in Paradise

Kristy had a walk much taller than her stature. You could hear her coming from a mile away. The heels didn’t hurt either. … Her ever-present smile was as wide as Texas when she greeted you, and even more genuine - to those she called “friend”.
Jason Farrell

Kristy was an amazing child. So full of energy, happiness, cuteness and love. She was a best friend of our little girl’s from birth til we moved when Kristy and Kerry were in kindergarten in CA. Neighborhood pal, church Sunday School and VBS and Bible Study, Fun School, field trips, backyard Easter egg hunts in her yard, hikes on the hills, shared babysitting with our families, too. Her family is amazing, too! Look forward to meeting Nora one day. Keeping Tom, Sharon and Laura in our constant prayers. Love you all.
Anne and Dan Jordan

We first met Kristy when she picked us up at the airport because Brian couldn’t. It was Kristy to the rescue, which was pretty normal. She helped Brian be Brian. She gave us Norah. Oh Kristy! We hardly knew you and you slipped away. Wtih love,
Bill and Linda Leach

Our family has such wonderful memories of the many gatherings of the Swanson clan. There are 12 cousins which Kristy, being one of the oldest was a formidable leader. Whether it was celebrating Santa Lucia, acting out the nativity scene or Easter egg hunts in the hills of Novato, Kristy’s bright smile and kind heart was ever present. I especially loved when Brian and Kristy showed up at Grandma Jeanne’s 90th birthday party, celebrated at Papa’s redwood tree in California, with Norah growing in Kristy’s tummy. There is such Joy in their faces in the picture standing next to Papa’s tree. You are missed and forever in our hearts.
Aunt Barb and uncle Jim.

Kristy was an integral part of my childhood and there aren’t many memories that she’s not a part of. We grew up together, my mom the leader of our Girl Scout troop, Sharon helped lead as well and Tom was ever present on our camping trips. We were on the Esteem Team together at Pleasant Valley Elementary and even recorded a song Kristy wrote about saving the rainforest and keeping “the animals wild and free.” We recorded in a professional, albeit TINY, recording studio in SF and when we saw the completed album and heard our voices, we thought we had made it big. Famous in 5th grade! We were so silly. Slumber parties, watching and re-watching every Disney musical (Newsies and Lion King were some faves), singing in choir together, performing in musicals, being a part of the GATE program at Sinaloa MS, dating our first boyfriends, getting ready for dances together…her red dress for the 8th Grade Dance was iconic. We had a blast. Kristy was one of my closest friends, and I was devastated when she moved to Arizona. We stayed in touch throughout high school and college, visiting when we could. Swimming in her backyard pool and having Tom drop in a gigantic block of ice for us to hang on was a new experience for me. And it was much needed in the AZ heat! My first ever concert was with Kristy the summer after 8th grade. I flew out to visit and we went to the Boyz to Men concert in Phoenix. TLC was the opener and Montel Jordan was the guest. Amazing! Kristy would visit California throughout the years as well, going on our family camping trips, spending time at the Russian River, even going to Alcatraz and ice skating in Union Square. I still remember the emails we exchanged my senior year of college, debating politics and being on opposite sides of the election, while still valuing the same things and making similar points…and still respecting each other. We lost touch sometime after 2010, but briefly reconnected in October 2024. Kristy was always a shining star and will continue to hold a very special place in my heart. Sending all my love and care to Laura, Sharon, and Tom - I wish I could be there and hug all three of you. The pictures of Kristy’s sweet daughter show that she has the same light Kristy held within. Helps to know Kristy will continue to shine through her. With love,
Alex Hunt

My best friend, my partner, my sweetie. It was the great privilege of my life to know you, to call you wife, to make a family with you. Know that you are loved beyond measure. I miss you.

Sister~ I'm forever grateful that we were chosen to journey through life's adventures together. Those memories will always be cherished in love. We will hold you close to our hearts until we meet again. Rest in Heavenly Peace ❤️

My precious daughter, I'm so grateful to God for the privilege of being your mom. Since the day you were born you've brought love and joy to my life. We shared the love and joy through all the ups and downs of life. And we will share again some day in heaven. Until then I love and miss you deeply and carry you in my heart.

We remember Kristy in her early years, family gatherings. She was funny, curious, creative and caring. Our favorite memory is the cousins as judges for family gong show and her side pony tail, valley girl responses😂. We will miss u Kristy, our beautiful niece ❤️

We were truly blessed to have Kristy in our lives during the most formative and critical years of our young family. Kristy’s love, kindness, and deeply caring nature meant more to us than words can fully express. Her presence, her help, and her steady support left a lasting mark on our family. We will always feel grateful to have had her so closely and lovingly involved in our lives.
The Michalowski's in Chicago

Galatians 5:14 “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command : “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Kristy’s love for others was such a beautiful uniqueness she possessed. She put her family, friends and even strangers above herself and it didn’t go unnoticed. Her kind and giving heart encouraged others to be a better version of themselves. As her stepmom I will forever be grateful that God blessed me with the times we shared together and the love that grew between us as the years went by. And I’ll never forget her bright, beautiful and beaming smile - just like her Dad and Papa! Until we meet again - I love you.
Debbie

I’ll never forget the day Kristy and Brian asked to meet me at the bridge that crossed between Fender’s two buildings off Chaparral. They had been dating for a little while and wanted to let me know. I was so happy for them; they deserved each other (and STILL do, forever!). Brian told me there that I was the one who introduced them. I had no idea and was equal-parts surprised and proud. They thanked me and we all laughed and hugged. Good times!
Jason Farrell

Kristy was so beautiful, respectful and smart … these are just a few of her qualities. Whether helping older cousin Anna organize the younger cousins to share the annual family Christmas programs, the many games, plays or my favorite being a judge (valley girl) in the parents gong show, her talents and leadership abilities were apparent. Kristy’s contagious excitement and creativity brought so much joy to all of us.
Aunt Patti and Uncle Keith

When I first met Kristy, I was stunned by her beauty. She had such a gorgeous smile and pleasant demeanor. Her petite stature also made me feel at home. That’s the Kristy that will also always live in my heart. I love you and miss you so much!! 🌸 This poem from Christy Ann Martine says a lot of what’s on my mind…👇 “She's in the sun, the wind, the rain, she's in the air you breathe with every breath you take. She sings a song of hope and cheer, there's no more pain, no more fear. You'll see her in the clouds above, hear her whisper words of love, you'll be together before long, until then, listen for her song.”
Carrie Mizera

K, Throughout your life I have always loved and appreciated your creative mind, your adventurous and loving spirit and your persuasive verbal skills. I enjoyed listening to you describe your preschool age play time with your imaginary friends (Odie Dodi the Tiger and Sammy the Bear). You were my adventure buddy as we bungee jumped at the top of Squaw Valley, parasailed in Hawaii and played with stingrays in the Caribbean. Watching you lovingly and persuasively interacted with Your sister Laura, your cousins and your friends filled my heart with Joy and Pride. I love you deeply, will miss you daily and will always cherish these memories in my heart until we meet again as we worship our Lord and Savior together in Heaven.

When Laura and I became friends in 5th grade I looked up to Kristy so much. I was so envious Laura had an older sister and I wish I had an older sister too. She was in high school, had long blonde hair, was so stylish, and had a boyfriend. I couldn’t wait to get to high school and be just like Kristy! Im so blessed that she was in my life and I will cherish all the memories we have together. She was so fun to be around and I loved her laugh. She is so loved and missed ❤️

Kristy is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. Most of the time I spent with her was when I was very young, as she was my babysitter growing up. However, she was more than just a babysitter — she was like a motherly older sister I could always trust and look up to. She took such great care of me and my sister, and I will always be thankful that she was there for us. She is family to me. Seeing her become a mother to Nora made me so happy, because I knew she was going to be an incredible mom from the way she cared for us. Kristy, we love and miss you more than you know. You will truly never be forgotten. You made an impact on so many of our lives, and I hope you can rest peacefully now. Love you forever,

I will always treasure the memories of our big childhood Easter parties, backyard games and camp outs at Kristy’s and Laura’s house, and simple joys like running through the sprinklers, trick-or-treating, and Kristy taking my hand to play with me at my sister’s birthday parties.
Jenny Chisholm

We have fabulous memories of Kristy helping us choose a home when we moved to Arizona...we actually selected the home she suggested. We remember how she became our guide in selecting the best restaurants. A weekend at Mission Beach for 17 family members was classic. She was one in a lifetime.
